CCS Mission Statement

To provide both consulting and administrative management tools for small business owners that will assist in better resource and time management, company growth and increased profits.

To provide this assistance at fees which are measurably lower than the resulting increase in company profits.

To refer our clients, as necessary, to a network of other professionals who have the same business philosophy as CCS, including:

CCS Vision Statement


Commercial Consulting Services was founded 24 years ago with a vision to provide commercial insurance and risk management assistance for small "closely held" family corporations.  Founder and president, Michael G. Morgan, brought over 15 years of management experience to this new firm and, during the first decade, has expanded services to include management consulting and computer systems development, including web site design.


As the vision for CCS developed, we realized that, while large companies often have the advantage of full-time Administrative and Risk Managers, not to mention, Computer Systems Administrators on staff, small companies frequently have considered this kind of expertise beyond their reach.  While some small companies do ponder retaining a consultant from time to time, they commonly shy away from the idea, believing this assistance to be too expensive and the results too slow.  


Commercial Consulting Services has developed a plan to change that thinking by concentrating on beginning work for a new client, as often as possible, in the area of Risk Management.  While being employed by our clients for this work, rather than operating as an "outside" consultant, allows us to do this work anywhere, tough negotiating on behalf of our new employer almost always saves significant insurance premium dollars!  It has always been our goal to save our clients at least as much as our annual consulting fee, however, premium dollar savings are almost always many times CCS consulting fees! This immediate financial return often convinces small business owners of the value this kind of help, opening the door to progress in several other areas.



One of the factors that sets CCS apart from other consulting firms is our genuine concern for people.  We firmly believe that trust and integrity are the keys to any business relationship, and kindness and encouragement are always welcome. While we frequently encounter an overbearing concern for the "bottom line" in the business world, we have developed a philosophy which puts our clients welfare ahead of making money.  It is important to us that we work closely with each of our clients and understand their needs. We have become good friends with many of them and believe that, in business, if you treat people right, money will follow. 

As a small family-owned business, Commercial Consulting Services has resisted the many opportunities for growth and complexity that would have certainly eliminated the personal "custom" approach that we are able to provide every client. This requires that our client load is carefully controlled and, as a result, we stay full most of the time. However, we believe that the fact that we have been retained by over 80% of our clients for more than 20 years confirms both our vision and philosophy of working with people!
